Brittany Upsnott: Week 3

On the top two floors of this luxury apartment building, Brittany Upsnott is still renting. Hers is the right half of the penthouse and the right half of the floor just below - rather large for one single Sim.

Since Brittany is on Permanent Platinum (and has been so for good part of the previous week), I generally do not control her; I only intervene when other New Maximilianians walk past the house, so that she'll greet them, and make sure she pays her bills and has a well-stocked fridge.
On Monday, we find her interrupting the making of an omelette for breakfast by a fit of coughing. The poor girl has caught a cold, it seems. Maybe she should have worn something that would not leave her midriff so exposed.

She is a rather intelligent Sim, it seems, for she does keep her apartment clean and tidy on her own accord.

Later that day, Cleo Dreamer walks past and is duly greeted.

Nina Caliente follows suit.

Watched by Sarah Love and Lindsay Louie (both tenants in the same apartment building), Brittany performs a breakdance. I made her do that, because she had it as a wish, and I wanted to see what she can do.

On Tuesday, Brittany skips breakfast and has a light lunch of chef salad, all on her own.

Later, she plays SSX3 for hours.

Jasmine Rai, Lindsay Louie and Brittany have a chat in the hallway.

Of course, Tuesday means the bill is in the mailbox. Brittany will fetch it when she returns from work (she is a Hall of Famer).

On Wednesday, I realize that Brittany has not been at her PC for a while because it is broken. I have her call the Landlord to fix it.

Brittany plays catch with Lindsay.

Just when she finishes making herself an omelett, her car pool arrives, and she never gets to eat it.

Gilbert Jacquet comes home from work with her today.

It is now summer, and Brittany has changed into something more lightweight.

On Thursday, Jimmy Phoenix, an old friend since their uni days, comes visiting and is greeted with a hug. Colleague Benjamin Baldwin accompanied Brittany home from work today.

Do you remember that Brittany was once able to pet the skunk? She tries her luck again, but as you can see, is not successful.
When Benjamin Baldwin says good-bye to his colleague, this is what he does!!! This came totally unexpected - so far, the two of them are just friends, not even best friends, and it is not spring. There were no pink hearts flying after that kiss, but...

...Brittany keeps thinking about the kiss the next day...

...and can't get Benjamin out of her head... matter what she does.

When the phone rings, she obviously hopes it is him, but it turns out to be a townie who has already invited her for an outing twice - and twice she has declined the invitation.

On Friday, Jared Starchild...

...and Samantha Ottomas walk by and are greeted by Brittany.

On Saturday, Brittany does all the necessary tasks to have her apartment nice and ready for the weekend. I never tell her to do any of this, she just seems to enjoy a neat and clean environment.

Hailey Hart is her guest for the day. Hailey seems to have taken the place of Sally Riley, who, when she was a teenager, appeared on almost every lot I played, getting to know almost every Sim living in New Maximiliania.

Of course, it being Saturday, the Landlord has ordered pizza for all his tenants.

To my surprise, he decides to give Brittany a friendly hug, and she accepts it, although the two of them have a relationship of only about 20 points.

I wonder whether Benjamin Baldwin has been talking to his son about Brittany... because on Saturday evening, Marcus "happens to" walk past :-)

For the first time this week, Brittany makes use of the amenities in the basement of the building. After a nice soak in the jaccuzzi, she has a drink from the bar.

On Sunday, Victor Aspir is greeted.

Later, Brittany does a spot of birdwatching.

She ends her third week since graduating by pouring herself another drink. I'm afraid playing a single Sim who is on Perma-Plat tends to be a bit boring, but I was truly surprised when that kiss happened, and when the Landlord hugged Brittany.

Is anything going to become of one of these relationships? Or will someone else manage to capture her interest?

Brittany Upsnott: Week 2

- - - Update 17.6.2012 - - - When Brittany returns home on Monday, she has been made Coach - and now needs 3 charisma points before she can think of her next promotion.

On Tuesday, winter truly sets in with the first snow of the season.

In the evening, Benvenuto Broke walks past the apartment building, and Brittany invites him in.

On Wednesday, the sink in her bathroom breaks, and Brittany asks her landlord to repair it. (Note Sarah Love, another tenant in this apartment building, and the topic she has just been talking about with the landlord!)

Thursday sees Brittany maximizing her charisma skill.

On Friday, Jonah Powers comes home with her from work. I am not sure he should still be working in his condition (he is pregnant, as you may remember or have guessed from the picture).

Saturday, Brittany has a lone slice of pizza, provided for by the landlord.

Later, she goes shopping for clothes at the Desprit Deals Clothing store; it is now spring and she definitely wants something else to wear than what she age-transitioned into or her working outfit. Several New Maximilianians show up, but nobody draws Brittany's interest in any special way.

That's some of her new clothes. Grey and black is still her colour scheme, just as it was during her time at university.

On Sunday, Brittany has reason for toasting with her colleague Roxie Sharpe: she has just received her last promotion and is now Hall of Famer! She has reached her lifetime want 16 days away from Elderhood. This means that during her next week, she won't have to focus on skills anymore.
Will she then find a 3-bolt-man, or fall in love with someone even if they do not have 3 bolts? I know as much as you do!

Brittany Upsnott: Week 1

We are going to spend a Sim-week in this castle-like apartment building. Who is wealthy enough to afford the rent at a place like that?

Brittany Upsnott is! She has saved almost all her grant money from university and has now moved here after graduating Magna Cum Laude in Drama. As soon as possible, she wants to find a job in the athletic career, because she dreams of being Hall of Famer one day. Do you remember her university years? She used to be part of the Tri Var Sorority, and twice she was saved from death by Tiffany Sampson, one of her "sisters".

With more than 22.000 Simoleons to play with, Brittany can furnish her empty apartment in a rather luxurious manner, but she is not that keen on doing more than just what is necessary, and so once she has finished, she still has around 12.000 Simoleons left.

Of course, as soon as Mr. Humble delivers the computer which is part of the welcome parcel for every New Maximilianian, Brittany starts looking for a job in the athletic career. There are no vacant positions today, though.

So she makes herself a sandwich... (see the bottle of champagne? it was bought at "Bubbler's Bubbly", Ty Bubbler's first of hopefully 5 successful businesses!)

...and eats it all on her own, thinking of all the friends she made while she was still at university.

It is only Monday, and our Brittany is already bored. She decides to pay the Platinum Gym a visit. Since it is a community lot I have played on only once or twice so far, it is more interesting for me, too, than watching her in her apartment.

Brittany goes for a swim, but not many other Sims are there, and soon she is tired and goes home.

Allegra Gorey, one of her friends from university, invites her for an outing downtown, and Brittany accepts. They go to "The Hub", and Brittany meets the rest of the group.

Sharon Wirth, Castor Nova, Ashley Pitts, Joshua Ruben and Allegra Gorey are part of the group along with Brittany.

And I certainly don't need to tell you the name of this lady! :-)

Tuesday starts off with a lonely breakfast - Brittany can't even be bothered to prepare herself a bowl of cereals and opts for an instant meal instead.

When she goes downstairs to pick up her mail, she meets and greets Ramir Patel. He admires her (what for, I wonder? Certainly not her outfit...!) and she has 2 attraction bolts for him.

The apartment building has two jaccuzzis and a private gym on the ground floor, and while Brittany is not working yet, she makes use of all that spare time and can often be found there, working out at the exercise machines.

There must be something about Brittany and fire! Those two times during her college years that she had to be saved from death, both her deaths were caused by fire, and today she manages to set the big barbecue grill downstairs ablaze! Good job that the apartment building is equipped with fire alarms... if Brittany would have been caught in the flames, this time there would have been no playable Sim at hand to save her from death for a third time.

Finally, on Thursday morning, Brittany finds a job as an MVP. The career rewards object becomes instantly available to her, and it being autumn (which makes skill-building easier) and her being on platinum level for fulfilling some of her daily wants, she manages to maximize her body skill the same day.

On Friday, she goes to work as an MVP for the first time...

...and comes back as a Superstar. And not only that - she manages to pet the skunk and it is friendly with her!

Only the once, though.

After a badly needed shower, Brittany needs some fun and decides to invite Don Lothario over. So far, they have been "just friends". Now, they are best friends...

...and soon lovers. Brittany does not seem to mind that she is about to become Don Lothario's No. 15 on his "list of 20 Sims I have had woohoo with". Well, if she doesn't mind, why should we?

Hmm... this is odd. When Brittany gets up on Saturday morning, she founds the armchair by the window destroyed. Who or what did this? I honestly did not see. And I never had Brittany welcome any of the stray cats and dogs that keep coming to the lot.

Saturday afternoon, Brittany returns from work with her third promotion (she is now an Assistant Coach) and a colleague. Since that colleague is "only" a Townie, I tell her to say goodbye to him immediately... ...but I certainly did not expect her to go to such lengths for a goodbye among colleagues!!

The rest of Saturday is spent studying. With her body skill maximized a few days ago, Brittany can now concentrate on her mechanical skill.

Later, she talks to her friends to make sure those friendships last. "Do you remember the time when I was Big Woman on Campus?" she reminisces with one of them. (I checked her memories - she was indeed Big Woman on Campus at some stage!)

On Sunday, Brittany brings home yet another colleague. This time, though, when I tell her to say goodbye, it is just a handshake, not a lingering kiss.

After this week of ups and downs, and well on her way towards achieving her lifetime want, a tired Brittany goes to bed on Sunday night. Well done, Brittany! We are certainly going to see you again soon.
