The Sims 4: The BBF Household, Week 4

You can find Week 3 with this household here.

This time, we are here because of Travis Scott. His surname is next on my alphabetical list. Well, actually, it would be "Roth", for the Roth family in TS2. But maybe you remember that somehow, inexplicably, the Roths have disappeared from my game. And while I can still see their character files with the help of SimPE, I have not yet managed to get them back properly.

Therefore, I have to skip them once again, and move on along the list. Hi there, Travis! With him in the picture is Liberty Lee, one of his house mates.

Summer Frost is a relatively recent addition - I had her move in because her surname is that of a playable Sim in TS2, Ellen Frost.

Summer Holiday lived in this house from the start.

The house is still the same, too. Let's see what is happening on this Monday.

For her next milestone, Liberty Lee needs to upgrade or launch a rocket 5 times. So far, I have never played with a rocket in this game - a good occasion to find out more! I purchase a rocket building set and place it in one corner of the garden.

Strangely, although I had no problem placing the set, Liberty can not access it. Only after I move it to a different corner, she can start unpacking those boxes and constructing the rocket.

I leave her to it and check on Travis - after all, he is my reason for playing here this week.

The two Summers have a guest; Mitchell Kalani. You have met him several times already, he is one of the "Roomies", another playable household here.

An invitation pops up: It is Eric Lewis' birthday, and I accept. The group (minus Summer Holiday, who has to work) travel to the Spencer-Kim-Lewis house, where they meet the birthday boy. Eric is the one in the pale pink t-shirt. Travis, Summer and Liberty have changed into what they consider party outfits. I won't say any more!

I can not help but be amazed at the seemingly random choice of catering staff the game comes up with. For this occasion, the caterer is Gavin Richards, another member of the Roomies household.

Everybody cheers loudly as Eric blows out the candles on his birthday cake. He has just reached adulthood, meaning he was a young adult until now. That is funny, as the older of his two daughters is already a young adult herself.

It is Tuesday when I find Travis strutting around the place in a very confident mood. See the shiny coffee maker? That is a career rewards object I found in Summer Holiday's inventory.

Travis goes straight to his room and dances to the music from the stereo.

Liberty keeps working on her rocket and reaches Rocket Science level 3.

On Wednesday morning, Summer and Liberty have breakfast together.

Summer Frost prepares a bowl of garden salad on Thursday.

Summer Holiday takes care of today's gardening.

Meanwhile, Travis talks to Dina Caliente.

He is never short of female company, being the only man in the house. On this Friday, he and Summer Frost have breakfast together.

Mitchell Kalani and Opehlia Spencer-Kim walk by and stop for a chat with Travis later that day.

On Saturday, it is again the two Summers who have a meal together.

Liberty Lee has been working on her rocket and went for one or two trips into space already. She ages up that day (from young adult to adult), but there was no party - I was distracted by trying to keep everybody happy and working on their milestones.

Sunday starts with another spot of gardening, this time for Summer Frost.

She receives a visit by Johnny Zest. Johnny and Summer are friends, and he comes over on his own initiative. Maybe you remember Johnny as another playable Sim in this game.

Liberty is off on another trip into space, fulfilling another milestone.

Travis has not been doing badly, either. He has programmed a mobile app and spent many hours at the computer to reach his next milestone.

When talking to Johnny, Summer has the option to become best friends with him. I jump at the chance, and immediately afterwards, the two of them take a picture together on Johnny's initiative.

Travis ends the week by talking to Babs L'Amour, another playable neighbour who has been walking by.

Progress is still slow for everyone, but each of the four BBFs have managed to reach at least one or more minor goals.

Summer Frost, the newcomer, still sleeps in Liberty Lee's bed when Liberty does not need it - the house mates still refuse to sleep in the same bed in spite of being friends, all of them. But Johnny's obvious interest in Summer Frost makes me think that maybe she can move in with him when it is time to play his household.

I had fun playing the rocket trips, reading the stories and deciding on what to do next. I wonder how many stories there are! And I also wonder whether there will ever be any romance for any of the BBFs.

The Sims 4: The BBF Household, Week 3

For Week 2 with this household, click here.

We are here because of the surname of one of the residents here:

Liberty Lee. Here she is, reading in her room. She is not alone in the house.

 There are also Travis Scott...

...and Summer Holiday.

While I am getting re-acquainted with the Sims in this house, I let them do what they like. For Liberty and Summer, this means taking a picture together with Liberty's mobile phone.

Later on that Monday, Travis returns from work with a promotion to Ace Engineer. All three BBF household members are still on the careers given them by EA, and I am trying to fulfill as many milestones for them as possible.

It is Tuesday already, and the girls are in the kitchen, cooking and mopping the floor respectively. Liberty is always the one I have do repairs, upgrades and (mostly) cleaning, as she seems to enjoy it. The handiness tasks all work towards her milestones. With Summer, it is almost all of the cooking; she works in the culinary career and can make gourmet meals.

When it comes to gardening, nothing has changed since the last time I played here; the flower and vegetable beds are empty except for a bluebell bush and a patch of mushrooms. The BBFs take turns in looking after their plants.

Dina Caliente does not look particularly happy here, does she? Summer, always the aspiring "Friend of the World", invites her in. The two ladies have been good friends for a while.

And indeed Summer manages to cheer Dina up, which results in Dina becoming Summer's first Best Friend.

She meets and greets J. Huntington III, another playable Sim as far as I remember. I think the two of them make a good match, but so far, nothing more than conversation has been happening between them.

Work starts late for Liberty on Wednesday, and she spends part of the morning talking to Olivia Spencer-Kim-Lewis and Pierce Delgato, both playable kids from the neighbourhood. Shouldn't they be at school?

Liberty wants to increase her logic skill. I buy a chess set for the living room and have her play a match against Summer, who is still in her PJs after having worked late last night.

On Thursday morning, Summer practises her charisma in front of her bedroom mirror.

Meanwhile, Liberty repairs the bathroom sink. There is enough money in the household's bank account to pay for the repair service, but Liberty takes pride in doing such things herself.

Dina comes visiting on her own accord. Somehow, though, nobody has much time for her today, and so she leaves after a while.

Travis is the first one up on Friday morning.

It is a beautiful day, and Summer grills veggie burgers out on the back porch.

For Travis, it is the second promotion of this week: He is now Project Manager.

A passers-by catches my eye: Her name is Summer Frost. Frost as in Ellen Frost - remember her as a playable Student from TS2? Travis greets her and invites her in. Looking at her outfit, I suppose she works as a delivery person of some sorts.

When Travis gets up on Saturday morning, he is full of anticipation.

And indeed, Summer Frost - whom he only met yesterday, as far as I know - accepts his invitation to move in! (There is Katrina Caliente in the background.) Now we have two Summers in the house :-)
That is something I like about TS4; moving in can happen much earlier on in a friendship than in TS2.

Bella Goth (red dress) and Chanel Grey (with her back to the camera) have also been walking by and asked to join Travis and Summer for a meal. Summer Frost does not know anybody outside the BBF household yet, so it is nice for her to meet a few more people.

J. Huntington is once again Summer Holiday's guest when she returns from work. He looks as if he is wondering why she has not even removed her black kitchen gloves yet.

The last day of the week is here; Sunday morning, and we find Liberty reading in her bedroom just like she was on Mondy morning.

A glance at all four household members gathering in the kitchen where Summer Holiday has just made breakfast for everyone.

She returns from work later that day with a promotion to Mixologist - hopefully that means the black gloves are gone for good!

It was fun to play this household, although there never seemed to be much time for them outside work; as you have seen, I never even sent them to a community lot. But I added another Sim to my list of playables here; Summer Frost will eventually move out to her own place. So far, she has no job and only got started on her aspiration (it's all about comedy for her).

As nice as it is that Sims can move in so quickly in TS4, it does not correspond with their sleeping habits: Even good friends won't share a double bed. Right now, the BBF house is still set up with three bedrooms: Two double beds for the ladies, and a single one for Travis. I was expecting the friends Summer Holiday and Liberty Lee to share a bed with each other or with Travis, but they won't have it. Therefore, at the moment there is no place for Summer Frost to sleep.
