With Maria Monty's death, her uncle Romeo Monty (middle) is the only living Monty left in all of New Maximiliania. His brother Mercutio (red PJs) is still here, too, but when he married Sharla Ottomas (left), he took her last name.
Romeo is 74, Mercutio 76 and Sharla 66. The men are both on Permanent Platinum, having reached their lifetime wants well before Elderhood. For Romeo, it happened when he became Captain Hero. Mercutio was made Hall of Famer.
Sharla's lifetime want changed twice: originally from having 6 grandchildren to becoming Prestidigitator, and back to having 6 grandchildren.
Currently, she has two: twins Mortimer and Alexander Goth, by her son Orlando with Giselle Goth. Her other son, Odell, does not yet have children.
The Ottomas house has seen extensions and modifications, but basically is still the same I gave the family when they first moved in. The trees on the lot have grown considerably since the days of Peter and Samantha, when Sharla was a little girl.
On this Monday, Romeo rolls the wish to invite his nephew Orlando over. When I look at the option "invite household", it shows that Stacy Stacks and Orlando's brother Odell are part of the household. All three are invited, but I am not sure yet how to proceed from there - should Odell not move in with Giselle Goth and their twins? Is Stacy the future mother of Orlando's children and Sharla's next set of grandchildren? Is either of the brothers going to move in?
For Romeo, it is time to fly to work, just as Repairwoman Arcadia Bradshaw (whom me wanted to date last round) arrives to fix a broken sink.
He returns from work hours later, with Arcadia long gone. Ever the Romance Sim, kissing is on his mind, and he shows wants for dating and woohoo - with no specific lady in mind.
Mercutio's life bar is almost full. Maybe this guitar solo will be his last.
Sharla wanted to serve turkey for dinner, but then got distracted. When she remembers how hungry she was, she opts for a bag of crisps instead.
Tuesday morning begins with Sharla doing a spot of cleaning on her own initiative. She was raised like that in her large family - always do what needs doing, don't wait for anyone else doing it!
I have Romeo order fresh groceries.
The brothers have breakfast together. Who knows how many more meals they will be sharing?
Later, one of the toilets clogs up (again), and Arcadia Bradshaw is called. Romeo makes no secret of his interest in the beautiful lady, and the two of them have a date.
In the evening, she invites him for an outing, and I decide to have Romeo accept the invitation - after all, I want to send him to a community lot this week anyway.
I am not sure whether I have ever played on this hobby lot, Dreamy Fields. But...
...just before the taxi pulls up, the game autonomously changes from life mode to build mode! I can not do anything but go back to the main neighbourhood, hoping the day's progress was saved (it was).
Sharla has developed a very odd sleeping habit, or rather, non-sleeping habit. She keeps changing beds; here she is trying to find sleep in one of her sons' beds.
But she doesn't stay there long before returning to her own bedroom, where her husband is already fast asleep. "Oh, Mercutio," she thinks, "I'm afraid you won't stay with me much longer..."
And she is right: Mercutio gets up a few hours later to the sound of Hula music. He was 78 years old.
Both Sharla and Romeo are devastated.
By the time Romeo finally feels calm enough to go to bed (his late brother's bed, actually!), it is already Wednesday morning.
After only a few hours of sleep, he and Sharla bump into each other in the hall, both restlessly wandering around the house. Sharla confesses her attraction to Romeo.
"She's confused, poor girl, she has only just lost her husband - my brother...," Romeo thinks.
Sharla even follows him to the bathroom, watching him as he has a shower!
All this is put to an end by the second appearance of Mr. Reaper in the course of two days. Romeo is ready. Admittedly, he would have enjoyed another date (and more) with the pretty Repairwoman, but it was not to be.
Romeo was 77.
Poor Sharla! Now she is all on her own in what has always been a bustling house full of happy family members.
As I was only playing this household because of Romeo, the week ends here; we will not return until it is time for surnames with "O", as in Ottomas.
The Monty lineage has well and truly ended in New Maximiliania.
See you later, Sharla - I am sure you will be happy again!
Aww bye bye Mercutio & Romeo. I can’t believe they are gone, two of my favourite Sims but they had fun lives.
ReplyDeletePoor Sharla that is a lot to take in a couple of days, I’m sure we’ll see her through the rounds as a visitor/passerby though :)
We'll definitely see her again; she'll be wanting to see her grandchildren at the Goth villa, and of course her sons Odell and Orlando.
DeleteDas war wirklich so bittersüß geschrieben, danke, Meks.Ich bin gespannt, wie es bei Sharla weiter geht.
ReplyDeleteEs war schon ein bisschen traurig, Sharla ganz allein in dem Haus.
