After a VERY busy student household last week, I am playing another (almost as busy) student house this week: The Tri-Fruhm Sorority.
This time, the focus is on Jessie Pilferson, who can be seen here just putting the finishing strokes to her Term Paper. Her Junior Year has begun only a few hours before, but she already had all the necessary skills and so set to work on her paper right away.
Jessie is a Romance Sim who wants to be Hall of Famer one day. This fits her bio: According to Maxis, she "is majoring in psychology, but what she really wants is to be a professional sports star. Maybe she'll learn how to analyze her way into the big leagues some day."
...and DJ Verse.
In the background, you can see a girl at the easel; that's Tiffany Riley. The girl in underwear, holding a blue assignment book, is Danielle Smith. These two are ex-Townie Teens, made playable by me through sending them to college. They were befriended by one or more of the sorority girls, asked to pledge, and once their pledge period was over, moved into the house.
(The girl on the stairs is an NPC cheerleader of no consequence.)
Sarah and DJ have returned from their final exams very hugry, finishing their Sophomore Year successfully. Good job there is still some pizza left over, as well as several plates of spaghetti bolognese in the fridge.
The young man working on an assignment at their kitchen table is Sarah's boyfriend Matthew Hart. She had invited him over to calm her pre-exam nerves this same morning, and he obviously stuck around to wait for her return.
Do you remember how awkward things used to be between Sarah and Jessie, due to her having a crush on Matthew? This is now entirely and firmly in the past. Jessie can genuinely smile (although she prefers not to look) while the two lovebirds share a kiss next to her dancing to the music from the stereo.
Upstairs, I catch Jessie with her hunger bar so low she is close to starvation - how daft of her, when there is a well stocked fridge in the kitchen! I watch her for a little, but decide to intervene when she shows no sign of going downstairs and getting herself something to eat. (I really belive she would have died there and then without my intervention.)
Certainly, Monica's omelettes were not the main contributing factor, but all three - Monica, DJ and Jessie - return from their end of term exams with spots on the Dean's List and their full grants.
Sarah happens to return from class at the same time, but she'll have her exam in another four hours.
Part of the sorority's money is used to invest in better beds, bedside tables and some lamps, as well as a better stove for the kitchen.
The next day, all the girls really do is get ready for their final exam. For Monica, it really was the FINAL exam - she won't ever have to sit another one in her life and has just graduated Summa Cum Laude in Art. Soon, I will find her a place to live in Strangetown.
Jessie and DJ both have finished their Junior Year very well. For them, their Senior Year has begun.
Sarah is a few hours behind, and the other girls' calendars are all over the place anyway - which doesn't matter, as I will simply stick to the alphabetical list and focus on them when it is their turn.
Anyway, with this year's focus being on Jessie, this is where I leave the Tri-Fruhm Sorority - until next time!
A great round for Jessie and her fellow sorority sisters. It's a good idea to get some pledges moved in to continue the house (and surnames), you seem on the ball with that more than me. :D
ReplyDeleteIt baffles me how simple Sims can be, or stupid depending how you look at it with Jessie not feeding herself to the point of starvation. Good job you intervened!
I like the variety those newcomers add to the game, since I am so familiar with the original playables.
DeleteYes, Jessie is terrible when it comes to looking after herself! In the former installation of my game, I would have let events run their course without intervening, but this time I just don't feel like so many deaths.
