Lisa Gieke's Senior Year

Click here if you want to refresh your memory about her previous year at uni.

Hello and welcome back to uni after what seems like a long time!
It is Lisa Gieke's Senior Year, and she is next on my alphabetical list. You remember Lisa, of course? She was adopted quite by accident when her adoptive parents, Chester Gieke and Tara (nee Kat) already lived at the Senior Residence. That's where she grew up, and now she is enjoying life with people her age: Maria Monty, a Senior Student like her, the Ottomas twins Odell and Orlando, both Juniors, and Stephanie Stacks, the youngest and only Sophomore here right now.
Odell is the first to finish his Term Paper.
Orlando looks happy on his way to class.
The Gypsy Lady has left a magic lamp on the front porch, but so far, it just sits there; I have not yet decided what to do with it.
Stephanie and Maria are related, sharing the same Alien DNA. Stephanie's human Dad is Cedric Stacks (formerly Cooke), half-Alien son of Julien Cooke - so she is only 1/4 Alien, right? Maria's human Dad is Romeo Monty.
The brothers are often seen playing punch-you-punch-me or just talking. Like most twins, they are very close.
Lisa finishes her term paper rather late this semester. She needed a few skill points before. Her lifetime want is to become Hall of Famer, and she is a Popularity Sim, majoring in Drama.
One night, lightning strikes the large cactus in the front yard just as Odell returns from class. Good job the rain quickly extinguishes the flames.
Lisa and Odell have been an item for quite a while. Here, she does not look all that happy when she witnesses her boyfriend sharing a joke with Maria.
But Maria is really just a friend; Odell is very much in love with Lisa and shows it by giving her a backrub on his own accord.
She is quickly convinced of his feelings for her! (Note the cook in the background... he's seen it all before and politely pretends not to notice.)
Lisa even sits in Odell's room when he goes to sleep.
Another student must have taken the backrub scene as an example: Stephanie autonomously gives Orlando one the next day.
And then, she jumps into his arms - completely out of the blue for me! (And maybe for him, too.)
Don't you just love it when your Sims choose their own romantic interest? And again, the cook in the background has seen it all before.
Everyone has their end-of-term exam at the same time (which is a relief). They all return with best grades and their names on the Dean's List.
The Campus Coach appears and bullies first Lisa into working out...
...then Maria...
...and last but not least Stephanie. She never told the boys to work out!
Odell and Lisa are rather sweet together, I really like them as a couple.
Stephanie is the first to finish her Term Paper this semester. She envies Lisa slightly, knowing that the older girl is never going to have to write another one herself after this year.
After everyone has gained their necessary skills and written their papers, I send the group to Chestnut Park. They boarded the taxi late in the afternoon, and it is dark by the time they arrive at the park.
Nonetheless, there are still quite a few other students hanging out at the park.
It is nice to see the two related young ladies often taking their meals at the cafeteria together.

Lisa is feeling playful this morning, it seems.

Somehow, the semester has sped by really fast, and our five students go to their final exams of the year - and the really final FINAL exams for Lisa and Maria. Everyone passes with flying colours, the two Seniors both graduating Summa Cum Laude.

For Lisa, the option to throw a graduation party (or any party at all!) does not show up on the phone; must be a bug. But it can't be helped and so I shall have her move back to New Max without a party.
Here she is standing next to Odell, her sweetheart, while he is diligently working on his Term Paper. They are probably going to miss each other, but once Odell graduates, they can live together again.

Time to say good-bye to campus life, Lisa! I am sure we will meet you again before too long.

For Maria, throwing a graduation party is available on the phone. She invites family and friends over. Here are, left to right, her uncle Mercutio Ottomas (former Monty), Beau Broke, Carolina Capp and Ryker Love.

Her Dad, Romeo Monty, and her "aunt" Sharla (Uncle Mercutio's wife), and of course Callum Capp, her sweetheart, are all here to help celebrate her graduation.

Romeo is immensely proud of his daughter.

Everyone joins in the hula... it looks a bit painful, doesn't it, with Carolina's hand sticking through Romeo's stomach! :-D

Maria sits next to her Dad when the party guests gather in the cafeteria for bowls of Mac n'Cheese.

And finally, the guests leave, and so does Maria, off to the next chapter in her life.

Who is going to fill the two empty slots at the dorm now?

By the way, I have started moving townie teens from the main hood to college, hoping that this will spawn new townie teens back there, maybe with a few playable surnames. We'll see!

The Gavigan Family - Week 8

This is the Gavigan family home, where Gesine and Gerlinde (and of course their older brother Isaiah) grew up. The annex contains a clothes shops, Gavigans Garments.
Only Nathan Gavigan is left here. The shop is supposed to become the third of the five top level businesses he would love to have, but I'm afraid at 74, he won't reach his lifetime want.
His beloved wife Mary sadly died last round.
Family photos are in almost every room. Here are the girls - Gesine has not changed much, has she!
On this Monday, Nathan needs to make more clothes for his shop. He finally earns his Gold Badge for sewing. Then he lies down for a nap.
It is already 9:00 pm when he awakes... to the sound of strange music.

What's this? A hooded stranger offering him a drink?
Ah well, it was a good life, although full of work and he never made his LTW. But he had a good marriage, and his children and grandchildren are doing well for themselves.

Mr. Grim stays for a while, catching up on his favourite series, "Death in Paradise". Then he leaves, softly shutting the front door behind him for the last time.

Well, that was unexpectedly short! I did notice Nathan's lifetime bar almost up, but I thought he'd have another few days left. There is one more Sim in my game with the lifetime want of 5 top level businesses who has NOT made it. I wonder if any Sim ever will in New Max!
