Stephanie Stacks' First Year at College

Stephanie Stacks has just arrived at the dorm where she is going to spend at least her first year. Unlike her twin sister Stacy, she really wanted to go to college, and graduating will be very helpful for reaching her lifetime want of becoming The Law.
Of course, she won't live all alone here at the dorm:

There are Lisa Gieke (left, the blonde girl) and Maria Monty (next to Lisa), both Juniors, as well as twin brothers Orlando and Odell Ottomas, both just having started their Sophomore Year.
The young woman with the black curly hair is Giselle Goth - she has graduated Summa Cum Laude in History and is about to leave for New Maximiliania, where she will most likely move back into the Goth family villa.
She and Orlando share the lifetime want of having six grandchildren, so they might get together once Orlando graduates - for now, they are very good friends but not (yet) lovers.

Giselle gets aboard the taxi that takes her back to her old home.

This is the dorm; it only has five rooms, which suits me perfectly, as there are currently only five playable students in my game.

Stephanie claims the room Giselle has just vacated.

Orlando is the first one this semester to finish his Term Paper. From now on, he will be controlled only occasionally.

Stephanie feels a little lonely. She comes from a large, close-knit family and is not used to having meals on her own.

Odell is next to write his Term Paper. "Yay, I have caught up with my twin brother," he thinks.

To combat her loneliness, Stephanie initiates a round of Slap Dance. Odell and Lisa join in. These two autonomously fell in love last "year", and I have nothing against their relationship.

Lisa finishes her Term Paper early the next day.

Orlando takes it upon himself to clean the boys' shower.

It is only her second day here, but Stephanie has already decided on her Major: Biology. She sets to work on her Term Paper right away but can complete it only after her return from class that day.

I had one student light the fire in the common room, as it is winter. When Maria returns from class late at night, she heads straight for the fireplace and warms herself without me telling her.

Early the next morning, Lisa watches as Stephanie and Odell toss a football outside the dorm. She need not worry when her boyfriend plays with or talks to another girl - romantically, he is only interested in her.

To cement their relationship even further (and raise their attraction from two to three bolts), Lisa goes for a pair of specs, while Odell puts on (yikes!) full face make-up. This was the least obvious full face make-up I could find!

No year at uni is complete without the campus coach appearing at least once. Stephanie does as she is told until it is time for her to go to class.

In the evening, all the girls gather in Orlando's room. He looks as if he'd rather be alone, though.

The end of Stephanie's first semester is already here the next day. All five students have their exams at the same time and return together, all with best grades and their names on the Dean's List. Now, for a while, it will be skilling- and Term Paper writing-time.

The next morning, as is so often the case, I find the students engaged in a round of slap dance. The slap dance has...

...some truly weird moves, doesn't it!

The cook really should know better than to set the kitchen range on fire! Good job there is a sprinkler installed, and nobody comes to harm.

I finally remember to send the group to a community lot and decide on the Student Union.

Here, Stephanie and Lisa finish their Term Papers. Now everyone is on (mostly) free will again.

Maria (and almost everybody else) shows signs of a cold or flu the next morning.

Spring has just begun, but it does not make a difference to these two - Lisa and Odell are 3-bolt-lovers now, and can hardly keep their hands off each other anyway!

The day passes with everyone doing pretty much as they please, and late in the evening, they all leave for their final exams of the year. It is just gone 2 o'clock in the morning when they return - each of them has, once again, managed to get their names on the coveted Dean's List and come out of their exams with an A+.

This is where Stephanie's first year at uni ends. I am sure we will be back here before too much time has passed, although I do not know who of my current teenagers will be next to go to uni.

Will Stephanie take her friendship with Orlando to the next level, or will he remember Giselle Goth and the lifetime want they have in common?

  1. It's good to see Stephanie is settling into college life nicely. It's nice to have a dorm full of playables as I like to see the rest of your Sims progressing with their lives too such as Lisa & Odell.
Great that Giselle graduated, I'm looking forward to seeing her back in Goth Manor and wonder if Orlando will join her or if his head will be turned by then?

    1. Next time I play my game, I have to remember to move Giselle in so that she can be reached by phone - just in case Orlando (or anyone else) feels like ringing her. Funnily enough, two or three of the students rolled wants for calling Ryker Love to chat almost every day, he must have left a lasting impression before he moved to New Max :-)
Yes, Stephanie has settled in nicely after her first day, when she was a bit withdrawn and lonely.

  2. Thank you for this nice update! Please don't forget to move Giselle back to the Goth mansion. - I like Lisa and Odell being 3-bolters. :) I hope that Stephanie will feel more comfortable in the next year.

    1. You are welcome, Bee! Giselle won't be forgotten; she is, after all, the last remaining Goth in the 'hood.
Don't worry, Stephanie is fine! It was just the transition from cosy family life to a new place and new people, and all that without her twin sister, that made her first day there a little awkward.

Whether you play The Sims 2 yourself or not, it would be great hearing from you. As I will reply to comments regularly, please remember to come back if you have asked a question.
