Click here for the previous year at this dorm.
Here she is, Stephanie Stacks, talking to Carolina Capp (I think), who was a guest at the last graduation party here and is still around.
Stephanie has just started her Senior Year. She wants to become The Law but for some reason has chosen Biology as her Major.
She is not the only playable student here; Ratna Walter, a recent arrival, is another one. He is a Pleasure Sim who dreams of 50 dream dates - majoring in Psychology could come in handy there.
You can see him here looking very serious as he is busily typing away at his Term Paper.
Stephanie is hungry, but the Dorm Cook's shift has just ended. "Have a good night, Mr. Ngai," she says, "I will just rustle up a plate of spaghetti or something."
The next day, I send Stephanie and Ratna to the Student Union.
Snow begins to fall just as they get off the taxi. They stay for a while until Ratna has to go to class and Stephanie remembers that she wanted to ring Orlando Ottomas, a former fellow student who used to live at the same dorm.
Back home, Stephanie has a nap, which makes her almost miss her exam - she has to run in order to make it in time.
But she manages very well and returns with her name on the Dean's List.
Now her very last semester begins!
She starts it off by having another plate of spaghetti, all on her own in the empty cafeteria, and wonders what will become of her after graduation. "I am the only one left, I really should move back in with my parents," she thinks.
While she has not yet acquired all her skills and written her Term Paper, I have her do some very necessary cleaning.
Ratna, on the other hand, never has to be encouraged to clean - he even helps the dorm cook on his initiative.
Stephanie wishes to have someone else write her last Term Paper for her, and the "honour" befalls Chloe Wendland, an NPC Student.
Ratna finishes the semester with best results, too.
While he works on his skills, the Campus Coach arrives. The Llama seems to be her target, but neither of the young men follows her orders.
It is rare for Ratna and Stephanie to have their meals at the same time; mostly, their schedules are far apart in terms of classes, sleeping and other activities.
And as usual, whenever they have nothing else to do, the students gather in the hallway and dance to the stereo, the slap dance and hula being the most popular dances here :-)
Another letter from home... Stephanie's parents miss her more than ever, and she is glad it won't be long now until she graduates.
The night before her final exam, she goes to bed early. Nothing like a well-rested brain for writing an exam!
It is already dark by the time she returns to the dorm. Before she goes inside, she builds a snow man - her final "contribution" to the dorm.
The next day, she dons her graduation robe and hat.
Her parents are of course invited, still looking rather subdued and not very much in the mood for a party.
Former co-students Orlando and Odell Ottomas as well as Stephanie's adopted half-sister Fenya Hart make up the rest of the guest list.
The party proves to be a nice, if a little quiet, event. Finally, Stephanie boards the taxi that is to take her home - back to the house where she was born and grew up. I wish her all the best for her future career, and in helping her parents to find at least some form of contentment again, if not happiness.
And Ratna? He is close to finishing his Sophomore Year, but will have to work a little harder on his lifetime want next time I play him. I don't know who is going to join him here at the dorm; we'll see!
Stephanie worked hard to get to graduation and had a nice little send off. :)
ReplyDeleteHer graduation party turned out to be a "good time" for everyone - not a roof raiser, but I did not expect that anyway :-)
