The Seifert-Powers Household - Week 1 (Powers Week 12)

Week 11 with Perseida Powers and the week when the Seifert name was added to the neighbourhood is here.

It is not that long ago since we last visited this house, which once upon a time belonged to General Buzz Grunt and his family. After the Grunts moved away, the house stood empty for some time until college graduates Roxy Sharpe, her younger brother Edwin and her boyfriend Jonah Powers decided to make it their home.
Roxy, Edwin and Jonah have passed on to the Big Community Lot in the Sky, but the house is still lived in (and has received a lick of paint).

Jonah's half-Alien daughter Perseida Powers is now the owner. She is a Popularity Sim who has been on Permanent Platinum ever since she made 20 best friends while still at uni. At the end of last week, she was joined by Cooper Seifert, a former "Mr. Big" who became a permanent resident of New Maximiliania because of his surname - I know a Mr. Seifert in real life.

Cooper - seen here on Tuesday morning (the week at this house starts on a Tuesday) unclogging the toilet in his en-suite shower room) - dreams of becoming a City Planner, a fitting lifetime want for a Knowledge Sim. After moving in at the end of last week, he found a job as a Cement Mixer.

While he is at work, I leave Perseida pretty much to her own devices. As before, she takes care of things rather well, throwing away yesterday's newspaper and then trimming the rose bushes around the house.

Both she and Cooper have Amin Seifert, a llama mascot, in their relationship panels. Perseida invites him over, and an evening filled with kicky-bag fun ensues. At this rate, Amin will probably join his "relative" Cooper and friend Perseida soon.

Cooper wakes up very early on Wednesday morning, as he went to bed early the night before. He has the day off and decides to take advantage of the hours before sunrise.

The perfect time for some stargazing!

Later, he makes breakfast for Perseida and himself, but he is not very good yet at using the oven, and the toaster pastries burn to black crisps.

Candice Walter, a former townie who recently moved to New Max for good, walks by in the afternoon and is greeted by Perseida.

Thursday turns out to be an eventful day! It is off to an unusual start when Perseida manages to pet the skunk - a rare occurrance in my game.

Then, Cooper is unfortunate with a chance card and is fired from his job.

Calvin Cho comes visiting on his own accord.

Perseida invites Amin Seifert over - and he accepts her invitation to move in.

He instantly age-transitions from Young Adult to Adult, but keeps his llama mascot head.
Amin is a Popularity Sim and wants to become Media Magnate.
Interestingly, he adds 15,000 Simoleons to the household account.

I send him to the nearest mirror to get rid of the llama head.

He ends his first day as a true New Maximilianian playing with the model railway behind the house.

Just after midnight on Friday morning, Cooper looks for a job on the Simternet and is lucky to get his former job back. While he is out working as a cement mixer, Perseida cleans (on her own initiative) and Amin makes hamburgers for lunch.

Cooper returns with a promotion to Brick Layer.

On Saturday morning, Amin looks for a job in the media career again, but there aren't any offers.

For Cooper, the day begins with repairing the downstairs bath tub.
He needs to improve his mechanical skill, and therefore, all repairs in the house befall him.

Perseida's pride and joy are her rose bushes; she is forever trimming them on her own initiative.

I thought I had taken a picture of Cooper returning from work, but I must have forgotten. Anyway, he has been promoted to Foreman and "celebrates" by repairing the TV set.

I find Perseida in one of the bathrooms on Sunday morning. She looks at each and every bit of art on the top floor, starting with the yellow stars and the rubber duck picture here.

Later, the three house mates gather for breakfast - Cooper has tried his hands at toaster pastries again and managed not to burn them this time.

Let's go to a community lot today! All three get in Perseida's car.

They arrive at the groceries store soon afterwards.

To my surprise, Amin is back to wearing his Llama mascot outfit - I didn't know he still has it!

Gesine Landgraab (Space Pirate outfit) and Hailey Hart (pink top) are there, and our small group starts a conversation.

Amin meets and greets Lisa Gieke, and the two former students enjoy a round of school cheer.

It is Monday, and the last day for the week at this household. Cooper and Perseida are outside at the model railway while it is still dark.

Amin still has not found a job in the Media career. For the time being, he can well afford to have long leisurely breakfasts in his undies.

Meanwhile, Cooper comes home as the new Head of a Construction Company. That calls for a celebration, I say!

Perseida, whose lifetime want was to have 20 best friends, calls eight of them over for a house party. Here are, from left to right: Calendula Capp, Candice Walter, Johnson Fleig and Demi Love.

Also invited are Fenya Hart, Deirdre Dreamer, Lance Landgraab and Calvin Cho.

At first, everyone stands around, making polite conversation in the hallway, while Amin prepares a batch of hamburgers in the kitchen.

Perseida adds pizza to the menue.

The party guests begin to disperse in and around the house.

Much to my (and probably his) delight, Amin finds out that he and Deirdre are 3-bolters! I can not remember what Deirdre's relationships are, but three bolts are three bolts, and I foresee Amin moving in with her when it is her turn to be played next round.

So, even though Amin was not successful in starting to work on his lifetime want, he found a 3-bolt-lady. Cooper has still quite some time to go before he will have reached his lifetime want, while Perseida is simply happy not to live on her own anymore.
This week was easy and nice to play. Now that I alternate between playing TS4 and TS2, I miss the multi-tasking abilities our Sims have in TS4, such as talking to another Sim while they read the paper or learn a skill. But I would still easily say that TS2 is my favourite game!

The Sims 4: The BBF Household, Week 4

You can find Week 3 with this household here.

This time, we are here because of Travis Scott. His surname is next on my alphabetical list. Well, actually, it would be "Roth", for the Roth family in TS2. But maybe you remember that somehow, inexplicably, the Roths have disappeared from my game. And while I can still see their character files with the help of SimPE, I have not yet managed to get them back properly.

Therefore, I have to skip them once again, and move on along the list. Hi there, Travis! With him in the picture is Liberty Lee, one of his house mates.

Summer Frost is a relatively recent addition - I had her move in because her surname is that of a playable Sim in TS2, Ellen Frost.

Summer Holiday lived in this house from the start.

The house is still the same, too. Let's see what is happening on this Monday.

For her next milestone, Liberty Lee needs to upgrade or launch a rocket 5 times. So far, I have never played with a rocket in this game - a good occasion to find out more! I purchase a rocket building set and place it in one corner of the garden.

Strangely, although I had no problem placing the set, Liberty can not access it. Only after I move it to a different corner, she can start unpacking those boxes and constructing the rocket.

I leave her to it and check on Travis - after all, he is my reason for playing here this week.

The two Summers have a guest; Mitchell Kalani. You have met him several times already, he is one of the "Roomies", another playable household here.

An invitation pops up: It is Eric Lewis' birthday, and I accept. The group (minus Summer Holiday, who has to work) travel to the Spencer-Kim-Lewis house, where they meet the birthday boy. Eric is the one in the pale pink t-shirt. Travis, Summer and Liberty have changed into what they consider party outfits. I won't say any more!

I can not help but be amazed at the seemingly random choice of catering staff the game comes up with. For this occasion, the caterer is Gavin Richards, another member of the Roomies household.

Everybody cheers loudly as Eric blows out the candles on his birthday cake. He has just reached adulthood, meaning he was a young adult until now. That is funny, as the older of his two daughters is already a young adult herself.

It is Tuesday when I find Travis strutting around the place in a very confident mood. See the shiny coffee maker? That is a career rewards object I found in Summer Holiday's inventory.

Travis goes straight to his room and dances to the music from the stereo.

Liberty keeps working on her rocket and reaches Rocket Science level 3.

On Wednesday morning, Summer and Liberty have breakfast together.

Summer Frost prepares a bowl of garden salad on Thursday.

Summer Holiday takes care of today's gardening.

Meanwhile, Travis talks to Dina Caliente.

He is never short of female company, being the only man in the house. On this Friday, he and Summer Frost have breakfast together.

Mitchell Kalani and Opehlia Spencer-Kim walk by and stop for a chat with Travis later that day.

On Saturday, it is again the two Summers who have a meal together.

Liberty Lee has been working on her rocket and went for one or two trips into space already. She ages up that day (from young adult to adult), but there was no party - I was distracted by trying to keep everybody happy and working on their milestones.

Sunday starts with another spot of gardening, this time for Summer Frost.

She receives a visit by Johnny Zest. Johnny and Summer are friends, and he comes over on his own initiative. Maybe you remember Johnny as another playable Sim in this game.

Liberty is off on another trip into space, fulfilling another milestone.

Travis has not been doing badly, either. He has programmed a mobile app and spent many hours at the computer to reach his next milestone.

When talking to Johnny, Summer has the option to become best friends with him. I jump at the chance, and immediately afterwards, the two of them take a picture together on Johnny's initiative.

Travis ends the week by talking to Babs L'Amour, another playable neighbour who has been walking by.

Progress is still slow for everyone, but each of the four BBFs have managed to reach at least one or more minor goals.

Summer Frost, the newcomer, still sleeps in Liberty Lee's bed when Liberty does not need it - the house mates still refuse to sleep in the same bed in spite of being friends, all of them. But Johnny's obvious interest in Summer Frost makes me think that maybe she can move in with him when it is time to play his household.

I had fun playing the rocket trips, reading the stories and deciding on what to do next. I wonder how many stories there are! And I also wonder whether there will ever be any romance for any of the BBFs.
